No roll sugar cookies are a classic, buttery sugar cookie recipe that save you time - there is no chilling, rolling or cutting! These cookies are great for everyday and holiday occasions.
1cupgranulated sugar + more for rolling or use colored sanding sugar for rolling
1cuppowdered sugar
1cupvegetable oil
2largeeggs,room temperature
1teaspoonvanilla extract
4 ½cupsall-purpose flour
2teaspoonsbaking powder
½teaspoonsalt
Instructions
Combine 1 cup unsalted butter and 1 cup granulated sugar and cream 1-2 minutes or until fluffy. Add in p1 cup powdered sugar followed by 1 cup vegetable oil.
Add in 2 large eggs, one at a time, and then 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Sift of whisk the 4 ½ cups all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder and ½ teaspoon salt. Slowly add into wet ingredients; mix only until combined.
Scoop dough using a small cookie scoop and then roll between hands to form a round ball of dough. Roll each dough ball in granulated sugar or colored sanding sugar; place each ball of dough on a lined baking sheet and press down with the bottom of a glass dipped in granulated sugar.
Bake at 350F° for 8-10 minutes. Allow to cool on pan 2-3 minutes and then move to wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use a small cookie scoop to scoop the dough first, and then roll into more uniform balls of dough
Use vegetable or canola oil for this recipe since they are both a mild flavored oil
These cookies freeze really well! Freeze baked cookies in a sealed container for up to 3 months
Store baked cookies in an airtight container for up to 72 hours
